Our founder and President Mark R. Stanhope, CPA, MST, CTRS has nineteen years experience in public accounting, starting his career with KPMG Peat Marwick a national and international certified public accounting firm. He attained the position of audit supervisor for Carlin, Charron & Rosen, LLP a large regional certified public accounting firm whose corporate office is located in Westborough, Massachusetts. Mark has successfully worked with and for two former IRS attorneys in the past on taxpayer cases gaining valuable insight and experience.
Mark is a Certified Tax Resolution Specialist (CTRS) certified by the American Society of Tax Problem Solvers (ASTPS). This makes him uniquely qualified to successfully solve IRS and State tax problems. Mark must meet educational, experience and examination requirements prescribed by the ASTPS, a national, not-for-profit professional organization. The ASTPS certification applies only to tax relief professionals who are a CPA, tax attorney, or enrolled agent in good standing with ASTPS and with the respective state, that licenses/regulates him/her.
Mark received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from Nichols College in Dudley, Massachusetts in 1990 graduating Summa Cum Laude, and his Master of Science in Taxation degree (MST) from Bentley College in Waltham, Massachusetts in 2005 graduating with Distinction.
Mark is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the American Society of Tax Problem Solvers.
Mark received an honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps and is a member of the DAV.
